Glam winter party look

Glam winter party look.

Hey guys!

I want to start todays blog post by saying sorry I haven't written for a while. I've had lots of things going on and just haven't had the time to sit down and write a post. I hope all you guys are good and had a wonderful Christmas and a happy new year and had everything you wanted. I had a great time and had a lot of events and parties with friends and family which brings me on to todays post. The look above has been my staple winter party look. It's quite glam, super feminine and is perfect for the winter months. So this is how I got my party look! (Warning, the photo's are bad quality because my camera is broke so had to use my phone so sorry in advance!)

Products.

1. Foundation- Elizabeth Arden 'Flawless Finish' £22
2. Concealer- Dream matte mouse £8
(I know it's a foundation but I find it works amazing for covering dark circles and blemishes)
3. Bronzer- Bourjois 'chocolate bronzer' £7
4. Blush- Bare skin minerals 'Cambridge blusher' £19
5. Eyebrows- Sleek brow set £9
6. Eye shadow- MUA merged trio eye shadow 'Emotions' £2.50
7. Mascara- Maybelline 'mega plush volume' £8
8. Lipstick- Revlon super lustrous lipstick 'black cherry' £7.50

  • First thing I did was apply my foundation and concealer. This foundation is new and I was really looking forward to trying it and have so far loved it. I'm going to do a separate post on my recent beauty purchases so don't worry.
  • Next I added my bronzer under my cheekbones to contour my face. I also applied some bronzer up to my temples and on my neck because it makes your face look thinner.
  • I then added the bear minerals blush. This is quite shimmery and sheer so works as a highlight as well so I just added it to the tops of my cheek bones, above my bronzer.
  • Next I filled in my eyebrows. The brow box from sleek is so easy to use and makes sure your eyebrows stay put all day so I love it for a party.
  • I then use the eye shadow palette by putting the light shade all over, the gold shade on the lid and the darker shade in the crease and edge.
  • I then applied a few coats of mascara to my lashes because I didn't want really dramatic eyes because of the darkness of the lipstick.
  • Lastly I applied the lipstick and then blotted it so it wasn't too dark.

I really love this look and think it is perfect for this time of year! To finish it add your favourite pieces of jewellery, a posh dress and a hair accessory and you're ready for a Hollywood glam party!

I hope you liked this look and enjoyed my post, sorry again it's been so long! I promise I won't leave it too long again. I am still part of the British blogger selection and will be writing posts soon just a bit later than the other bloggers involved because as I mentioned a lot has been happening. I'm also thinking of starting a YouTube channel where I post tutorials and hauls etc. things like that would you guys be interested? I hope everyone is having a great 2014 and if you read to the end comment telling me what you got for Christmas!
Love you all

Skincare Musts

My skincare essentials.

Now, my skin has it's good and bad days but over all it's not too bad, so I thought today I would write a post on my favourite skincare products at the moment that really work for my skin and hopefully for yours too. I don't use any high-end products on a day to day basis, only if i'm having a really bad couple of days, so everything here is very much affordable for everyone but still works really, really well!

1. The first thing is a little bit boring but I really love them, Cotton wool pads. You're probably all thinking, there's nothing special about cotton wool pads but these are amazing. They're cheap from asda or wall-mart as Americans know it and they're about twice the size of normal cotton wool pads which means you only go through half as many which is always good!

2. The second thing is Clean & Clear deep action cream wash. I LIVE by this cream, it is sooooo good for anyone who suffers with really bad blemishes or blackheads or even anyone who just want to keep them away. My skin used to be really bad so I started using this and I instantly saw a difference. I'll do a full review of this another time or i'll end up just rambling on and on, haha! I apply this with the cotton wool pads.

3. The next thing is moisturiser. You can use any moisturiser that works for you, at the moment i'm using the Nivea Q10 plus day cream. I find that this makes my skin feel lovely and smooth so I've really been loving it. Another moisturiser I would recommend is the L'Oreal Revitalift which works just as well.

4. The last thing I don't do everyday but I try to do about 2 to 3 times a week to make sure my skin stays nice and smooth, face masks. My favourite face masks are the Montagne Jeunesse ones specifically the chocolate masque. It's so nice and refreshing and you can tell it's doing your skin the world of good.

So those are my all-time favourite skincare products. I hope this has helped some of you pick out some good products and thank you for reading! Make sure you follow for more posts on beauty fashion and lifestyle.
Love you all

Today's new buys

Today's new buys

Today I decided to pop into town and obviously I found some things I just couldn't leave behind. Most of these things have had very good reviews and so I decided to try them out for myself. So without further ado, here are today's new buys!

The first thing I did was go into House of Fraser. If you don't know what that is it's basically just a big store where they sell all different brands of make-up, clothing and home ware and it's so lovely in there. Everyone is so helpful and so friendly to talk to. While I was in there I took a look at the Clinique stand and saw their anti-blemish liquid foundation. Now, at the moment my skin isn't too good but I don't feel confident enough to not wear any make-up so when I saw this I thought I NEED TO HAVE IT haha! It was £24 which is quite expensive for a foundation but it's supposed to clear and prevent blemishes so I thought I would give it a try and tell you guys what I thought about it!

Then I went into superdrug which is just your average drug store. In there I saw that Revlon were having a 2 for £10 offer an all lip, nail and mascara products and so I picked up 2 of the Revlon lip butters (which I've been hearing such great things about) in the 2 most popular colours 015- tutti frutti and 053- sorbet. So far I've only tried tutti frutti but I already love it! It's so moisturising and such a lovely colour! I'll write another blog post on what I think if it in the long term soon. Whilst I was in there, I also saw that BarryM were having a 2 for £6 on their nail polishes I decided to buy 2 more of their Gelly Hi-shine nail paints in the colours blueberry and papaya. I then went over to the sleek stand and bought a new blush because mine had run out. I picked one up in the colour pomegranate because I hadn't tried that one before and was feeling rather adventurous! Then, I picked up my favourite bronzer, Bourjois chocolate bronzer and left deciding that I had probably bought more than I needed!

I'll write more blog posts reviewing these products for you and If you'd like to know how I get on with them be sure to follow me on here and also my instagram and twitter (my links are on the page 'come say hi'). Thank you for reading and if there are any posts you would like me do make sure to comment them blow!
